THIS WEEK’S BREAKFAST PROGRAM MEETING · SATURDAY – OCTOBER 12TH @ 7:30AM
Don’t miss this week’s meeting back at Red Bridge Community Buildingto hear invited guest speaker, Ed Rieskamp, a longtime volunteer at Riley Children’s HealthEd Rieskamphttps://www.facebook.com/RileyChildrensHealth. The Indiana District of Kiwanis has supported Riley in fundraising since before the hospital existed. Clubs around the state dedicate events toward raising funds, including our club (notably the annual Riley Roadblock).
Learn firsthand how Kiwanis funds and volunteers directly reach Riley patients and their families. Ed’s experiences at Riley and his stories will remind or enlighten you on what a difference we can make on patients and staff at Riley.
Also come Saturday for a Chef Carlsons’ breakfast!
LAST WEEK we were informed and entertained by Bossy Clown and her sidekick and helpmate during our breakfast meeting at Hamilton North Public Library. Bossy Clown, aka Lisa Stokes Bear, and husband Brian Bear visited the club to talk about the Haunted Trail, a Friends of the Park fundraising event Lisa and Brian started 5 years ago. This year is to be bigger and better, and they are looking for volunteers to help with the October 25 & 26 event.
