An important initiatve of The Kiwanis Club of Cicero in 2024 is to build a 20’ trailered grill, to be used for various fundraisers throughout the year. With the success of our annual Chicken BBQ fundraiser (second largest club fundraiser for the last two years), we believe that if we had our own grill we could have multiple similar fundraisers each year. The grill we used for our previous two grilled chicken fundraiser events was borrowed, which limited us to only the one event each year.  

The Goal: To raise $7,500 to build our own trailered grill, enabling us to hold multiple fundraising events per year, thus directly benefiting the various charities and programs we support in northern Hamilton County.  

Important to the club is the benefit of long-term program sustainability afforded to the club by owning such an asset – the proceeds from the fundraisers this grill enables us to hold will directly impact and sustain the new book reading initiative, as well as our other programs, for years to come.
